Weld reductions are components used to bridge from a smaller diameter to a larger one, or from a larger to a smaller one, for example from DN 50 to DN 25. In our store the reductions are available in the qualities 1.4301 or 1.4404.
Our reducers can be divided into two different types. Eccentric and concentric.
In eccentric reductions, both diameters are arranged in such a way that a straight surface converges with a tightened surface. This reduction is always installed when a medium in a pipeline is to be completely drained.
The concentric reduction is similar to the eccentric reduction. The difference is that both pipe connections are centric to each other. This type of reduction is mainly used for vertical pipelines.
Among other things, reducers can be used to increase the flow rate in a line while maintaining the same pressure. All our reducers are externally ground to 320 grit and laser engraved. The laser engravings provide information about material quality, dimensioning and melt number.
Inside we guarantee a surface quality of Ra < 0.8. All our fittings are annealed after production and are therefore guaranteed stress-free. Our quality management includes various points to ensure that you as a customer can always count on the highest quality of our fittings.
